They seem to be everywhere, engaging audiences in conversations about green energy initiatives.
During the month of March, customer outreach representatives from Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group fanned out across the Northeast, spreading the Combined Heat and Power message to a broad constituency of building owners, managers, and real estate developers. In addition, they also engaged with architects and engineers to educate them about the types of building systems designs that lend to CHP efficiencies.
At one point, Dalkia Aegis business development team members were simultaneously presenting at the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) in Boston and the Gobalcon energy conference in Philadelphia, two of the largest energy expos in the Northeast.
According to Sales and Marketing Manager Dale Desmarais, Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group customer outreach representatives are “in their element” when presenting at these trade shows and conferences.
These industry events allow Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group representatives to get in front of a captive audience and talk about cogeneration, Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, and the features and benefits that come from installing high-efficiency CHP systems from Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group
The company feels that trade shows help its outreach in educating end users about CHP.
“A significant amount of our business comes from meeting building owners and managers at trade shows,” said Desmarais. “People appreciate asking questions real-time and getting an idea if and how CHP would be a good fit for their site.”
Through these high-profile industry events, Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group has developed partnerships with hospitality groups, heath care facilities, and large-scale multi-unit
Trade shows give Dalkia Aegis the opportunity to showcase its innovative green technology through its on-site display, printed handouts, and through educational speaking engagements and appearances set up in conjunction with the show.
Recently, Dalkia Aegis was asked to moderate a panel at the CRE Gold Coast Investment Summit. While the conference focused on the investment and growth opportunities in North Jersey, Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group was hosting a symposium titled “Next Generation Multi-Family Design, Development, and Investment Activity in the Myriad of Assets.” Many real estate developers have become aware of the energy savings and potential for additional LEED points, as well as the ability to take advantage of state-funded grants that would result from an installation of a high-efficiency CHP system.
At the recent NESEA expo, Dalkia Aegis was able to utilize another asset by launching a new marketing movie that showcases the features and benefits of Dalkia Aegis-designed Combined Heat and Power systems.
“It was well received by engineers, lay people, and students,” said Desmarais. “It was a non-invasive way to draw people in and pre-qualify them. They would watch the display and then almost end up in a queue where we could engage them.”
Of the dozens of trade shows, expos, and conferences that are held each year, Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group focuses primarily on the larger, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic-based events.
Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group, LLC will be on-site at the BuildingsNY show for owners and managers of small and mid-sized building at the Javitz Center in New York on April 24 and April 25. The company will also have a presence at the New Jersey Cooperators Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo and Apartment Managers Expo takes place on May 1 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center.
