Edward Machado will focus on energy solutions from initial outreach through project completion
Dalkia Aegis, EDF Group, the leading provider of cogeneration technology in the Northeast, has hired Edward Machado as a business development manager to focus on offering combined heat and power (CHP) energy solutions to large-scale facilities throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and California. In his role, Machado will endeavor to acquire new commercial customers by educating them on the benefits of Dalkia Aegis’ sustainable energy solution and the cost- and energy-savings it can help them realize. In addition, he will offer consultation services from initial outreach through system installation.
Prior to joining Dalkia Aegis, Machado held positions within the commercial real estate industry and the private equity, venture capital and financial services sectors, and brings with him transferrable and relevant skills.
“Edward’s more than two decades of experience focused on sales, marketing and business development functions makes him the perfect addition to our team,” said Lee Vardakas, president of Dalkia Aegis. “We expect his expertise will have a large and immediate impact on our company, and his dedication and attentiveness will benefit our customers.”
Machado emigrated to the United States at the age of nine, later receiving his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais in his home country of Brazil. He and his family now reside in Stamford, Connecticut.
