Aegis Energy, EDF Group, LLC, an innovative Combined Heat and Power company based in Holyoke, MA, is confirming dates for its popular “Lunch and Learn” series to be held over the next few months at locations throughout the region.
The Aegis “Lunch and Learn” events are centered around a discussion of Distributed Energy with a focus on Combined Heat and Power technology.
The topics include;
- Different types of CHP systems
- Identifying “good fit” buildings
- Site characteristics that work well with CHP
- Black-start systems that operate dedicated standby loads in the event of grid outage
- Funding CHP with State incentives and Federal grant programs.
The social / educational events also serve engineers and architects with specific discussions of physical space requirements for CHP, combustion and ventilation air requirements, and electrical considerations.
Aegis utilizes highly efficient modular systems to reduce both energy costs and emissions for a variety of facilities, from healthcare and assisted living facilities, to recreational and multi-residential complexes, and hotels. There are also institutional, educational, and industrial facility applications.
The Aegen PowerSync addresses the need for standby power by adding black-start capability. The system operates 24/7 throughout the year delivering continuous energy savings.
During these events, Aegis representatives will also discuss the value of transparency in system monitoring and strong maintenance plans that keep systems running at peak performance.
