About

Appointed as President in 2013, Mr. Vardakas is responsible for all facets of the growing organization and has been instrumental in Aegis Energy’s success as leader in small-package cogeneration (CHP) in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

With over three decades of experience in the CHP industry, Lee is uniquely qualified to create and guide the vision for the growing company and is a sought-after resource for policy makers and regulators in the distributed energy industry.

Mr. Vardakas holds a degree in economics from The University of Rochester and is a member of the Western New England chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. Committed to world-class service and innovation in the on-site combined heat and power markets, Lee and his team have received multiple “Super 60” awards from the Springfield Regional Chamber and the Siemens Customer Excellence Award for demonstrated commitment to clients.

With a business management degree and over 20 years’ professional experience, Dan capably leads all national business development, marketing, advertising and sales activities at Aegis Energy, EDF Group. He places just as much importance on customer satisfaction as he does operational success, positioning Aegis for long-term growth while making lifelong customers who enjoy reduced energy costs and carbon footprints.

His previous employment includes time in the recycling industry working with Fortune 500 corporations, and with large volume retailers, Toys R Us, SuperValu and Circuit City, in advertising and marketing capacities.

About

In his role, Joe is responsible for business operations, and manages teams across production, service, research & development, engineering, analysis & finance, to drive revenue growth and continued organizational success. He possesses nearly two decades of relevant experience, most recently holding a comparable position in the aerospace industry. In this role, he was responsible for strategic planning and corporate compliance in addition to two company acquisitions.

He holds an advanced degree in accounting from Bryant College and is a certified public accountant and a certified internal auditor. Outside of work, Joe is the treasurer and a board member of the Friends of John Paire, a nonprofit organization whose mission it is to grant children access to a well-rounded education regardless of their economic status.

About

In her role at Aegis Energy, EDF Group, Christine is responsible for all of the organization’s financial operations and human resource functions. To fulfill her duties, she draws from her more than three decades of experience in financial leadership roles.

A certified public accountant and as a former adjunct faculty member of the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Christine is immersed in and aware of industry information, trends and changing tax codes and financial policies. Prior to joining Aegis, she was responsible for the integrity of financial information for a large, third-party disability insurance administrator.

She holds Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in accounting from Aurora University and Northern Illinois University, respectively. Active in the local community, she previously served on an American Red Cross Disaster Action Team.

About

Dave brings over two decades of experience to Aegis Energy, EDF Group where he designs and engineers Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems involving one to several modules for all types of applications including extensive use of thermally driven absorption air conditioning. Additionally, he oversees, directs and guides the engineering team, creating and executing project work plans that use the latest technology for monitoring, communicating and controlling these systems.

He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

About

A longtime employee of Aegis Energy, EDF Group, Sarah now serves as the manager of the energy analysis team. Her core duties include creating content and submitting grant applications for customers, providing internal IT admin support, drafting service contracts, and performing regulatory monitoring.

She holds a degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and possesses over two decades of relevant industry experience.
