Business Development Representative

Job Summary:

Aegis Energy Services is looking to hire an Inside Sales – Business Development Rep to work in this highly collaborative team environment, that provides growth potential and significant upside rewards.

We have an opening for a high energy level individual to be responsible for identifying new sales leads through phone calling or emails and turning those leads over to the sales team. This individual will collect customer contact information for every lead and help collect data from pre-qualified/interested parties. In addition, the person we are looking for will also compile lists of potential customers as sales leads based on information from phone calls, computer searches, advertisements, trade shows and other resources.

Duties and responsibilities will also include:

  • Focus on identifying new sales opportunities for Aegis’s innovative and customer-focused energy solutions
  • Research prospective organizations in a specific market segment
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers in those organizations
  • Engage in conversations designed to discover sales opportunities
  • Work with your team leader to uncover sales opportunities
  • Manage the sales process and help close business
  • Update and maintain accurate customer contact information in the database

Key Selection Criteria:

Preferred candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent: Communications, Business Management, Business Administration preferred, but not necessary
  • New College Grad or 0 to 2 years work experience (this is an entry level position)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: professional phone skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with people successfully in person and on the phone
  • Disciplined approach to daily activity planning, setting goals and achieving success
  • Ability to take direction, be coached and mentored
  • Strong web and computer skills: MS Office, Salesforce.com desirable
