Accounting Assistant/Accounts Payable

Aegis Energy Services, located in Holyoke, MA, is looking to hire an experienced full time Accounting Assistant who will also handle Accounts Payable.

Job Summary:

  • Completion of various account analyses and reconciliations
  • Assist with the Accounts Receivable, and billing process
  • Collection phone calls and e-mails as needed
  • Assist with the Accounts Payable
  • Journal entries to the general ledger
  • Filing monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly end closings
  • Run, review, balance and interpret various financial reports
  • Contributes to ensure team goals are met

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and prior accounting software system experience required
  • Prior general ledger, billing and financial statement exposure extremely helpful
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate level of supervision
  • Possess strong organizational, time management and good prioritization skills in driving tasks to completion
  • Possess excellent attention to detail
